Our research

Our project proposes that our collaborative translation model  will achieve outcomes in a variety of academic, pedagogical and sociological contexts. To accommodate this, we have subdivided the project into three key context areas:

  1. Literary translation: we investigate how collaborative translation can impact on the translation of literary or scholarly texts, either for research purposes or for general readership.
  2. Language learning: shifting the focus away from the “text” as the object of translation, we investigate how a collaborative translation may be applied in the language learning classroom.
  3. Migrant context: we investigate how structured collaborative translation activities may aid and support the integration of migrants into host communities.
