Below are opportunities to take part in a collaborative translation – no translation experience necessary! The languages you know will determine which collaboration you can participate in.

As places are limited we do prioritise TransCollaborate members, and for some collaborations we require membership. You can join here.

ROMANIAN or NEPALI: Native or equivalent

ENGLISH: None, Low or Intermediate

Be a part of our NEW project funded by VicHealth, to develop sustainable collaborative translation groups within the Romanian and Nepali communities in Victoria, Australia. Romanian opportunities available NOW. Nepali opportunities coming in May.

SPANISH: Native or equivalent

ENGLISH: Intermediate or High

Translate the stories of Latin American and Hispanic migrant women in Australia, or work on Latin American micro plays! So many possibilities. For a series of group workshops and online readings, organised in collaboration with the writers, with the members of Gals en Australia, and with local theatre enthusiasts.

KOREAN: Native or equivalent

ENGLISH: Intermediate or High

Review Korean translations of Australian government health documents. For a series of group workshops translating documents back into English and comparing with the original.
